About Me

Some part of me always knew I'd be an educator, even from the time of eagerly bringing home outdated textbooks and teaching my stuffed animals as a child. I simply am a teacher.
Growing up in a musical family, music was always around me both in terms of teaching and performance. I saw the joy it brought to my mother's students as they entered our home on a weekly basis and witnessed the struggles, curiosities, and triumphs of new knowledge and skills.

I attended Henderson State University where I received my Bachelors of Music as well as a double minor in Dance and Spanish. My graduate studies were through Texas A&M University-Commerce, focusing on elementary music education.

I've been fortunate to experience a wide range of teaching opportunities including domestic and international teaching, mentoring new teachers, and core academic support groups. My full resume is available below.
