Performance Opportunities

Performances are a powerful way to showcase musical growth, and intentional programming allows students to experience a wide range of formats—singing, instrumental, cross-curricular projects, student-created works, traditional musicals, and informances. Some of my favorite productions have included The Day the Crayons Quit, a literature-based performance featuring singing, Orff ensemble pieces, and student-choreographed movement; Dino-Soaring, a prehistoric-themed musical adventure beloved by lower grades; and the annual Winter Showcases, where multiple grades come together to spread holiday cheer (with special surprise guests like Santa!).

Beyond the stage, students have shared their music with the community through Christmas caroling at senior centers, performing at international festivals, and supporting school assemblies like MLK Day and Halloween parades. I have also helped bring students together for large-scale district performances like Choralpalooza and Stringfield Extravaganza, which unite campus choirs and orchestra programs in an unforgettable collaborative experience. Music isn’t just something we practice—it’s something we share, bringing people together in meaningful ways.

Outside the classroom, I’ve been a featured percussionist with the Iberian Musical Festival 2025, performed with the Willamette Valley Symphony for two seasons, and was a member of the Eugene Symphonic Band for two seasons.
